Hamilton No. 1 Toastmasters

Hamilton No. 1 Toastmasters, established in 1952, is one of the oldest and longest-running Toastmasters clubs in Ontario, Canada. Part of Toastmasters International District 86, the club meets every Monday evening in a hybrid format — in person at the All Saints Church community room in downtown Hamilton and simultaneously online. Members practice prepared speeches, impromptu speaking (Table Topics), and leadership roles in a fun, supportive environment. Guests are always welcome and may attend for free before joining.

Membership & sessions

Open to all adults with no membership restrictions. Guests may attend meetings for free. Members pay Toastmasters International dues of $60 USD per 6-month period (April–September and October–March), plus a one-time new member fee of $25 USD. Additional club-level dues may apply; contact the club for current rates. Dues are collected twice yearly (April 1 and October 1).

Services: Prepared speech practice (Toastmasters Pathways program), Table Topics (impromptu speaking), Speech evaluations and constructive feedback, Leadership role practice (Toastmaster of the Day, General Evaluator, etc.), Club and area-level speech contests, Hybrid in-person and online meeting attendance, Access to Toastmasters International Pathways e-learning platform, Networking and professional development
