PM Portugal Toastmasters

PM Portugal Toastmasters is a Lisbon-based public speaking and leadership development club, part of Toastmasters International (Club #05488304, chartered October 1, 2016). Originally founded as PMI Portugal Toastmasters to support project management professionals, the club is now open to all and has grown to 30+ members from diverse professional backgrounds. It is considered one of the leading Toastmasters clubs in Portugal and the Iberian Peninsula, having achieved President's Distinguished Club status multiple consecutive years. Sessions are hybrid (in-person at Biblioteca de Alcântara and online via Zoom), held every Monday from 7:45 PM to 10:00 PM. The club follows the structured Toastmasters format: prepared speeches using the Pathways educational program, Table Topics (impromptu speaking), and constructive peer evaluations. Guests are welcome to attend for free with no pressure to participate.

Membership & sessions

Open to all; no professional or educational prerequisites. Membership dues are paid semi-annually to Toastmasters International ($60 USD per 6-month period; new members also pay a one-time $25 USD new member fee). Individual club dues may apply additionally — contact the club for current local rates. Guests may attend sessions for free before committing to membership.
