Istanbul Asia Toastmasters

Istanbul Asia Toastmasters (IATM) is an English-speaking Toastmasters club located in Kadıköy on the Asian side of Istanbul. Founded in autumn 2012 and officially chartered on April 9, 2013, it was the first English-language Toastmasters club on the Asian side of Istanbul. After a pandemic-related closure in 2020, the club was successfully restarted in fall 2023. Meetings are held in a hybrid format (in-person at Mekan İyi Fikir and online) on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month at 7:30 PM. The club welcomes Turkish members wishing to improve their English and public speaking skills, expatriates living on the Asian side, students, professionals, and entrepreneurs of all experience levels.

Membership & sessions

Toastmasters International dues are $60 USD per six-month period (i.e. $120 USD/year), collected in April and October. New members also pay a one-time $25 USD new member fee. Some clubs may charge additional local club dues. Guests may attend meetings for free before joining. Membership is open to all; no restrictions.
