Barcelona Toastmasters Club

Barcelona Toastmasters Club is the first and oldest Toastmasters club in Barcelona, chartered in May 2003. It is a bilingual (English/Spanish) public speaking and leadership club with over 40 members of diverse ages, professions, and nationalities. Weekly in-person sessions focus on prepared speeches, impromptu speaking (Table Topics), peer evaluations, and leadership roles. The club is open to all interested individuals with no membership restrictions.

Membership & sessions

Open to all; no professional or educational prerequisites. Guests may attend for free (limited tickets released weekly via Eventbrite). To become a member, the club recommends visiting at least 3 sessions first. Membership dues follow the Toastmasters International semiannual structure ($60 USD per 6-month period, paid in April and October); additional local club dues may apply. A one-time new member fee of $25 USD applies. Members gain access to the Toastmasters Pathways online learning programme.

Services: Prepared speech practice (structure, body language, vocal variety, storytelling, humour, persuasion), Table Topics (impromptu speaking), Peer speech evaluations and feedback, Toastmasters Pathways learning programme (online self-paced communication & leadership curriculum), Leadership meeting roles (Toastmaster of the Day, General Evaluator, Timekeeper, etc.), Speech contests (area, division, and district level), Mentoring programme for new members, Club Officer Training (COT) leadership development, Free guest sessions via Eventbrite
