Parkville Toastmasters

Parkville Toastmasters (Club #300) is a long-standing public speaking and leadership development club based at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. Founded over 44 years ago, the club is part of Toastmasters International and welcomes guests and new members from all backgrounds. Members practice prepared and impromptu speeches, receive structured peer evaluations, and take on meeting leadership roles to build confidence and communication skills.

Membership & sessions

Membership is open to anyone 18 years or older with no professional or educational prerequisites. Toastmasters International dues are $60 USD per six-month period (prorated at $10/month for mid-period joiners), renewed twice yearly in April and October. A one-time new member fee of $25 USD applies (effective October 1, 2025). Individual club dues may also apply — contact the club for current rates. Membership includes access to the Pathways learning experience on Base Camp.

Services: Prepared speeches (Pathways learning experience), Table Topics (impromptu speaking practice), Peer speech evaluations and feedback, Leadership role practice (Toastmaster of the Day, General Evaluator, Timer, Grammarian, etc.), Pathways educational program (300+ competencies across multiple learning paths), Speechcraft program, Speech contests (club, area, district levels), Mentoring program, Communication and leadership skills development, Networking opportunities
