Tosa/Medical Toastmasters

Tosa/Medical Toastmasters (Club #5010) is an active Toastmasters International club chartered in November 1982, meeting at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Wauwatosa, WI. The club is open to all interested parties with no membership restrictions. It offers a supportive environment for developing public speaking, communication, and leadership skills through prepared speeches, impromptu Table Topics, peer evaluations, and a structured mentoring program. The club participates in District 35 (Area A04) speech contests and is home to the 2025 District 35 International Speech Contest Champion. Guests are always welcome to attend for free.

Membership & sessions

Toastmasters International semiannual dues are $60 USD per 6-month period ($120/year), paid in April and October. New members also pay a one-time $25 USD new member fee (effective October 2025), which covers administrative costs, Base Camp system access, and the first Pathways learning path. Membership is open to all; no restrictions. Guests may attend meetings for free before joining.

Services: Prepared speeches, Table Topics (impromptu speaking), Pathways learning experience (communication & leadership education program), Peer speech evaluations, Mentoring program, Speech contests (District 35, Area A04), Leadership development, Hybrid meetings (in-person and Zoom), Toastmaster meeting roles (Toastmaster of the Day, Timer, Grammarian, etc.)

Membership: 120 USD / yearly

Meeting schedule: 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month at 6:45 PM; meetings generally conclude at 8:00 PM. Hybrid format: in-person at Medical College of Wisconsin (Room H1210) and via Zoom.
