City of Columbus Toastmasters Club

City of Columbus Toastmasters Club (Club #1423343) is a community public speaking and leadership club founded in June 2010 in partnership with the City of Columbus Citywide Training and Development Center of Excellence (CTDCE). Open to any adult 18+ in the community — not just City of Columbus employees — the club meets on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Thursdays of each month at 6 PM in a hybrid (in-person and online) format. Located in Columbus, Ohio, the club is part of Toastmasters International District 40. Members practice prepared speeches, impromptu speaking (Table Topics), and give and receive structured evaluations to build confidence, communication, and leadership skills.

Membership & sessions

Open to any adult aged 18 and over; no requirement to be a City of Columbus employee. Membership includes Toastmasters International dues ($60 per 6-month period as of 2023) plus a one-time new member fee ($20) and separate club dues. Initial membership includes the first two Pathways learning materials, access to the Toastmasters International website, educational achievement tracking, training event invitations, and a Toastmaster Magazine subscription. Additional manuals available for approximately $6.50 each. Guests may attend meetings free of charge before joining.
