Biosciences Toastmasters Club – University of Arizona

The University of Arizona Biosciences Toastmasters Club (Club #01340288, District 3) provides a comfortable environment for students, scientists, and professionals to practice public speaking and leadership skills — an area of development often overlooked in specialized higher education. Members include faculty, appointed professionals, staff, graduate and undergraduate students, postdocs, Banner employees, and community members interested in science. The club is open to all UA and non-UA affiliated individuals, especially scientists and science-lovers. Chartered on June 30, 2009 (originally as Women of Biosciences, renamed Biosciences in 2012), the club holds hybrid weekly meetings on Wednesdays at noon at the UA Health Sciences Library and on Zoom. Its motto is 'Speak Your Science.'
