École de l'Art Oratoire
École de l'Art Oratoire (School of the Art of Oratory) is France's first and oldest school of eloquence, founded in 1973 by Stéphane André and based in the 8th arrondissement of Paris, steps from the Champs-Élysées. For over 50 years it has trained more than 25,000 learners — individuals aged 15 to 99, students, and corporate teams — using its proprietary RDV® technique, which combines physical, vocal, and intellectual dimensions of public speaking. Programmes range from 2-hour weekly evening workshops and 4-day intensive stages to a year-long Grand Cours and individual coaching. In-person sessions are held in Paris and Bordeaux; corporate trainers travel across France and abroad. An online Digital Learning app (EDAO) is also available. The school holds Qualiopi quality certification and organises a monthly public-speaking competition (concours d'éloquence) open to all non-professionals.
