Cape Town Toastmasters Club

Cape Town Toastmasters Club is a fun, friendly and professional public speaking and leadership development club founded in 1985. It provides a safe, supportive learning environment where members of all backgrounds — students, professionals, entrepreneurs and retirees — develop communication, leadership and personal growth skills. Meetings follow a structured format covering Educationals, Prepared Speeches, Speech Evaluations and Table Topics (impromptu speaking). The club is open to all interested parties with no membership restrictions. Guests are always welcome with no pressure to speak.

Membership & sessions

Membership is open to all interested parties (18+) with no restrictions. Costs: (1) Meeting fee: R70 per meeting (cash bar available for food and drinks); (2) Semi-annual membership dues calculated on a pro-rata basis at $10.00 USD per month; (3) Once-off joining fee of $20 USD covering admin and training manuals. Membership includes access to the Toastmasters Pathways online educational curriculum and the ability to attend any Toastmasters club worldwide. Guests may attend meetings for free with no obligation to join.
