Winelands Toastmasters Club

Winelands Toastmasters Club (Club #5504) is one of the premier Toastmasters clubs in South Africa, founded in 1989 and located in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town (Durbanville/Tygervalley/Bellville area). The club serves members from Bellville, Durbanville, Kuilsriver and Brackenfell. It is a vibrant, diverse community that develops communication and leadership skills through a supportive, positive learning environment. The club has been recognised as a President's Distinguished Club for over 11 consecutive years and was awarded Top Club in Southern Africa in 2013/2014 and 2015/2016 out of approximately 170 clubs across 9 countries.

Membership & sessions

There is an initial joining fee plus two half-yearly (semi-annual) membership dues. Membership is open to all; no professional or educational prerequisites. Guests may attend meetings free of charge before joining.

Services: Public speaking training, Prepared speech practice, Impromptu speaking (Table Topics), Speech evaluation and feedback, Communication skills development, Leadership skills development, Toastmasters Pathways education programme, Mentoring for new members, Networking

Meeting schedule: Every 2nd Thursday of the month (evening dinner meeting, attendance fee R80 includes light meal) and every 3rd Saturday morning of the month (Expresso meeting, attendance fee R50 includes breakfast). Venue: Koffi Terapi, Willowbridge Shopping Mall, Carl Cronje Drive, Durbanville. Visitors welcome; pre-booking essential.
