Austin Pride Toastmasters

Austin Pride Toastmasters (Club #2000937) was chartered in February 2012 to create a safe, supportive, and affirming space for the LGBTQ+ and Allies community to develop communication, public speaking, storytelling, and leadership skills using the Toastmasters meeting format. The club is open to all interested parties regardless of background, and welcomes anyone who wants to build confidence in public speaking within an LGBTQ+-affirming environment.

Membership & sessions

Membership follows standard Toastmasters International dues structure: one-time new member registration fee of $25 (covers first Pathways path and processing), plus semi-annual international dues of $60 (paid twice per year). Individual club dues may also apply to cover local expenses. Guests may attend meetings for free with no obligation to join.

Services: Public speaking practice, Leadership development, Toastmasters Pathways educational program, Prepared speech delivery and evaluation, Impromptu speaking (Table Topics), Peer feedback and mentorship, Hybrid in-person and online meetings, LGBTQ+-affirming community space

The club is a member of the Austin LGBT Chamber of Commerce. It was founded to uplift LGBTQ+ voices and is affiliated with Toastmasters International District 55.
