Bay Ridge Toastmasters

Bay Ridge Toastmasters (Club #8131) is a community public speaking and leadership club chartered in April 1991, located in the Bay Ridge neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. Part of Toastmasters International District 119, the club meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from 7:00–8:30 PM at the Salvation Army Corps, 252 86th Street, 2nd Floor, Brooklyn, NY 11209, with a Zoom option available for remote attendees. The club is open to all — professionals, students, stay-at-home parents, and retirees — and features a diverse membership from countries including France, England, the Philippines, Moldova, Russia, Ukraine, Nicaragua, Jamaica, China, and the United States. Members practice prepared speeches, impromptu Table Topics, and peer evaluations using the Toastmasters Pathways curriculum. Guests are welcome to observe up to two meetings free of charge before joining.

Membership & sessions

Toastmasters International dues are $60 USD per 6-month period (billed in April and October), totalling $120/year. A one-time new member fee of $25 USD also applies. Individual clubs may charge supplementary club dues. Guests may attend two meetings free before deciding to join. Membership is open to all; no corporate or university affiliation required.
