Medically Speaking Toastmasters Club

Medically Speaking Toastmasters is a growing club composed of people working, studying, or living in the Texas Medical Center. Membership is open to anyone interested in learning and practicing techniques for effective public speaking in a friendly environment — no healthcare background required. The club meets weekly on Tuesdays, combining virtual Zoom sessions with a monthly in-person gathering at Baylor College of Medicine.

Membership & sessions

Membership is open to all — no healthcare or medical background required. Toastmasters International dues are $60 USD per six-month period (renewal periods: April–September and October–March). New members pay a one-time $25 USD new member fee in addition to pro-rated dues. Some employers cover Toastmasters dues as part of professional development benefits.

Meeting schedule: Every Tuesday, 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM Central Time. Meetings are held virtually (Zoom) most Tuesdays; in-person at Baylor College of Medicine (Room N317, Alkek Building) on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Photo ID required to enter the building.
