Del Rey Toastmasters

Del Rey Toastmasters is one of Los Angeles' most dynamic and diverse public speaking clubs, based in Marina del Rey, California. Founded in 1984 as Orville's Toastmasters by Emma Sherry and George Schumacher, it was renamed Del Rey Toastmasters in 1985. Members include professional speakers, coaches, comedians, actors, entrepreneurs, business professionals, and teachers. The club is a member of Toastmasters International and provides a mutually supportive, positive learning environment for developing effective public speaking and leadership skills. Guests are always welcome at no cost and may attend up to three meetings before deciding to join.

Membership & sessions

Toastmasters International semiannual dues are $60 USD per 6-month period ($120/year), paid twice yearly on April 1 and October 1. New members also pay a one-time $25 USD new member fee. Dues are pro-rated at $10/month for members joining mid-cycle. Individual clubs may also charge additional local club dues. Guests may attend meetings at no cost.
