Westside Toastmasters

Westside Toastmasters (Club #638) is a long-established public speaking and leadership education club meeting in Santa Monica and Los Angeles, California. Founded in September 1952, it operates in a hybrid format every Wednesday evening at Joslyn Park. Members develop communication and leadership skills through prepared speeches, impromptu Table Topics, peer evaluations, and the Toastmasters Pathways curriculum. Guests are always welcome to attend for free.

Membership & sessions

Guests may attend for free, as many times as they wish. Ongoing membership dues are $17.50/month, collected semi-annually. A one-time $25 setup fee applies to brand-new members who have never been in the Toastmasters system before. No experience required — beginners are welcome. Services: Prepared speeches and evaluations, Table Topics (impromptu speaking practice), Toastmasters Pathways educational program (6 learning paths, 5 levels each), Leadership role practice (Toastmaster of the Day, Timer, Grammarian, General Evaluator, etc.), Annual speech contests (club, area, division, and district levels), Hybrid in-person and Zoom meetings, Guest visits (free, no commitment)

Membership: 17.5 USD / monthly

Meeting schedule: Every Wednesday, 7:15 PM – 8:45 PM (Pacific Time). Hybrid format: in-person at Joslyn Park Craft Room (ocean side building), 633 Kensington Rd, Santa Monica, CA 90405, and simultaneously via Zoom. Drop-in guests welcome in person; email info@westsidetoastmasters.com for the Zoom link. Meetings may be skipped around major holidays.
