Portlandia Toastmasters Club

Portlandia Toastmasters Club (Club #2978) is a welcoming hybrid Toastmasters club meeting every Thursday at noon in downtown Portland, Oregon. Members improve their public speaking and leadership skills through prepared speeches, impromptu speaking (Table Topics), peer evaluations, and meeting leadership roles. Meetings are held in-person at The Portland Building (Room 203) and simultaneously via Zoom. Guests are always welcome to attend for free with no pressure to participate.

Membership & sessions

Membership is open to all with no restrictions. Guests may attend meetings for free. Members pay Toastmasters International semiannual dues of $60 USD (every 6 months), plus a one-time new member fee of $25 USD. Dues are prorated at $10/month for members joining mid-period. Individual club dues may also apply; contact the club for details.

Services: Prepared speech practice (Toastmasters Pathways program), Impromptu speaking practice (Table Topics), Peer speech evaluations and constructive feedback, Leadership role practice (meeting facilitation, timer, grammarian, etc.), Zoom technology training, Hybrid in-person and online meeting attendance, Public speaking confidence building, Communication and leadership development
