Sydney Community College's Public Speaking Training Course is a highly interactive short course designed for anyone who wants to gain better communication skills and present with greater self-confidence.

It covers:

  • Speechwriting fundamentals – developing a speech or presentation plan
  • A reliable template to structure content, including use of humour
  • Mechanisms to keep your audience at ease and engaged
  • Techniques to memorise your speech and build confidence
  • Preparation, managing nerves, and giving yourself the best possible start
  • Delivery – body language, vocal tone, and facial expression
  • Dealing with crowd interactions and thinking quickly on your feet

Single course enrolment fee of AUD $249 (GST-free). Concession rates available: $199.20 (full concession), $211.70, or $224.10 depending on eligibility. Course materials (PDF handouts) are included. Enrol online via the Sydney Community College website.

The course is taught by David Crisante, founder of Sydney Comedy School, with over 20 years of public speaking experience. Sydney Community College is a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC), providing practical learning experiences to the Sydney community since 1986. Office hours: Monday–Thursday 9:00am–4:30pm, Friday 9:00am–4:00pm. Campus open Monday–Thursday 8:30am–8:30pm, Friday–Saturday 8:30am–4:00pm.
