Calgary Pace Setters Toastmasters Club

Calgary Pace Setters Toastmasters Club (Club #8170, District 42, Area D23) is a welcoming public speaking and leadership club founded in May 1991. Members develop communication and leadership skills through prepared speeches, impromptu Table Topics, peer evaluations, and structured meeting roles. The club uses the Toastmasters Pathways educational program and easy-Speak meeting management software. Meetings are held every Tuesday evening (September to June) and alternate between in-person at St. Simeon Serbian Orthodox Church and online via Zoom. Guests are always welcome — the first three visits are free.

Membership & sessions

Membership requires a one-time new member fee of $25 USD (as of October 2025), plus semiannual Toastmasters International dues of $60 USD per 6-month period (approximately $120 USD/year). Members joining mid-period pay pro-rated dues of $10 USD per remaining month. Dues are renewed twice yearly (April and October). Individual clubs may also charge additional local club dues — contact the club for current local rates. No membership restriction; the club is open to all interested parties. Guests may attend the first three meetings for free before deciding to join.
