UCalgary Toastmasters

UCalgary Toastmasters (Club #28676906) is a student-focused Toastmasters International club based at the University of Calgary, chartered December 31, 2024. Open to students, faculty, staff, and alumni, the club meets biweekly on Fridays to help members develop confident communication, leadership, and public speaking skills in a supportive environment. Members practice prepared speeches, impromptu speaking (Table Topics), and give and receive structured feedback. The club is registered with the UCalgary Students' Union and is part of Toastmasters District 42, Area E06.

Membership & sessions

Open to all — no membership restriction. Toastmasters International dues are $60 USD per 6-month period (prorated at $10 USD/month for mid-period joiners), plus a one-time new member fee of $25 USD. Individual clubs may also charge additional local club dues. Dues periods run April–September and October–March.
