MidTown Toastmasters

MidTown Toastmasters (Club #1610) is an open community club in Toronto, ON. It is a diverse, welcoming group that meets twice a month to help members improve their public speaking, communication, and leadership skills through a structured yet fun environment. Guests are always welcome to attend a few meetings before deciding to join, with no pressure to speak on the first visit.

Membership & sessions

Open to all; no membership restrictions. Guests may attend multiple meetings for free before joining. Toastmasters International dues are $60 USD per 6-month period (prorated at $10 USD/month for mid-cycle joiners), plus a one-time new member fee of $25 USD. Additional club-level dues may apply — contact the club for current local rates. Dues periods run April–September and October–March.

Services: Prepared speeches (Pathways education program), Table Topics (impromptu speaking practice), Peer speech evaluations and feedback, Leadership role practice (Toastmaster of the Day, Timer, Grammarian, etc.), Toastmasters Pathways online learning platform access, Speech contests (club, area, and district levels), Open House events for prospective members, Mentorship and personal development support

Membership: 120 USD / yearly

Meeting schedule: 2nd Monday of each month online via Zoom; 4th Monday of each month in-person at St. Matthew's United Church, Oakwood Room, 729 St. Clair Ave West (St. Clair & Christie), Toronto. Meetings start at 6:45 PM (doors open ~6:30 PM). Holidays excepted.

Club is part of Toastmasters District 60 (Toronto). Hybrid format: online every 2nd Monday, in-person every 4th Monday. Guests should RSVP via the club website or Meetup page to receive the Zoom link for online meetings.
