University of Toronto Toastmasters (UofT Engineering)

University of Toronto Toastmasters (UTT) is a student-run public speaking and leadership development club affiliated with Toastmasters International. Founded in 2004 as University of Toronto Engineering Toastmasters, it has since expanded to welcome students and professionals from all disciplines across all three UofT campuses. The club meets weekly in a hybrid format (in-person at the Bahen Centre and online via Zoom), where members deliver prepared speeches, participate in impromptu Table Topics, and give structured peer evaluations. Special events each semester include open houses, speaking competitions, and collaborative workshops with other UofT clubs and external organizations. Membership is open to all with no restrictions.
