University of Toronto Public Speaking Club (UTPS) provides an inclusive and supportive environment for students to improve their oral communication skills. UTPS brings together students from all disciplines and backgrounds to study the art of public speaking and to overcome their fears. Open to all UofT students regardless of experience level.

Membership & sessions

Open to all University of Toronto students from any discipline or campus. Membership is managed through the UofT Student Organization Portal (SOP) and ULife. No specific membership fee was publicly listed; the club is a Recognized Student Group under UofT.

Services: Weekly general meetings with themed public speaking exercises, Vocal warm-up sessions, Impromptu speaking practice, Open sessions for newcomers and first-time visitors, Peer feedback and supportive group coaching, Social and networking events

Meeting schedule: Weekly general meetings during the academic year (exact day/time subject to change each semester — check the SOP portal or Facebook page for current schedule). Historically held on Fridays, 3:00–5:00 PM.
