Steglitz Toastmasters

Steglitz Toastmasters is a German-language public speaking and rhetoric club based in Berlin-Steglitz. Members meet regularly to train their rhetorical and leadership skills in a supportive, appreciative atmosphere. The club is part of Toastmasters International (club #02643782) and belongs to Area C1, Division C, District 95. Guests are always welcome to attend free of charge and without prior registration.

Membership & sessions

Open to all interested parties — no membership restrictions. Guests may attend all meetings free of charge and without registration. Members pay a Toastmasters International membership fee (approximately €10/month, billed semi-annually). A one-time new-member application fee applies per Toastmasters International policy.

Services: Prepared speeches (5–7 minutes, structured by Toastmasters Pathways program), Impromptu speeches (Stegreifreden / Table Topics), Speech evaluations and constructive feedback, Leadership role practice (Toastmaster of the Evening, Timer, Grammarian, Ah-Counter, etc.), Rhetoric and presentation skills training, Public speaking confidence building, Speech contests (humorous speech, impromptu speech), Networking and community events (e.g. summer festival)

Additional information

The club meets at the Steglitz Museum (Heimatverein Steglitz e.V.), Drakestr. 64A, 12205 Berlin. Contact person: Jürgen Hall. The club was founded around 2012 and celebrated its first summer festival in July 2025. Meetings run approximately 90–120 minutes and are conducted entirely in German.
