Cal Center Communicators Toastmasters

Cal Center Communicators is a Sacramento chapter of Toastmasters International, originally created by California State Department of Toxic Substance Control employees. The club focuses on helping members improve public speaking and leadership skills in a supportive, self-paced, and fun atmosphere. Guests are welcome to attend meetings free of charge with no pressure to participate.

Membership & sessions

Membership is open to all interested parties with no restrictions. Toastmasters International dues are $60 USD per six-month period (prorated at $10/month for mid-period joiners), plus a one-time new member fee of $25 USD. Individual club dues may also apply — contact the club for specifics. Guests may attend meetings free of charge.

Services: Public speaking practice, Leadership development, Toastmasters Pathways educational program, Prepared speech delivery and evaluation, Impromptu speaking (Table Topics), Constructive peer feedback, Storytelling and audience engagement training, Communication skills coaching, Meeting role practice (Toastmaster of the Day, Timer, Grammarian, etc.)

Meeting schedule: 2nd, 4th & 5th Tuesday of each month at 12:05 pm (arrive by 11:45 am to be escorted); hybrid in-person and online
