St. Lawrence Toastmasters Club
Founded in 1948, St. Lawrence Toastmasters Club in Montreal is the oldest Toastmasters club in Eastern Canada. It is a bilingual (English-French) club, renowned as one of the best in the area, with an inviting atmosphere where members openly participate and have fun productively. The club features long-standing members and speech contest winners who offer mentorship to regular members and newcomers alike.

Membership & sessions
Guests may attend meetings freely before joining; at least 3 visits are required before membership is offered. A weekly attendance fee of $10 per meeting applies to all members and guests (payable by cash, Interac transfer, or contactless credit card; credit card incurs an additional $0.25 charge). The annual membership period runs from October 1 to September 30. For new members, fees are prorated based on the number of months remaining in the Toastmasters year. Toastmasters International dues are $60 USD per 6-month period ($120 USD/year), plus a one-time new member fee of $25 USD (as of October 1, 2025) covering Base Camp access and the first Pathways path. No membership restrictions — the club is open to all interested parties aged 18+.
