Vapor Trails Toastmasters Club #203

Vapor Trails Toastmasters Club #203 is one of the longest-running Toastmasters clubs in San Diego, chartered on March 1, 1949. Originally founded as a club for Naval Officers, it now welcomes members of all ages, backgrounds, and occupations. The club meets every Monday evening at the Tierrasanta Recreation Center and offers hybrid attendance (in-person and Zoom). Members develop public speaking, communication, and leadership skills in a warm, friendly, and supportive environment through the Toastmasters Pathways education program, prepared speeches, Table Topics, peer evaluations, and various meeting roles. Individual coaching and mentoring are also available.

Membership & sessions

Toastmasters International dues are $60 USD per six-month period (billed twice yearly: April 1 and October 1), totalling $120 USD/year. New members also pay a one-time $25 USD new member fee. Dues are prorated at $10/month for members joining mid-period. Individual club dues may apply in addition to international dues. No membership restrictions — the club is open to all interested parties.

Services: Public speaking practice and coaching, Leadership development training, Toastmasters Pathways learning experience (6 specialized learning paths, 300+ competencies), Prepared speech projects, Table Topics (impromptu speaking), Peer evaluations and constructive feedback, Meeting roles (Toastmaster of the Day, Timer, Grammarian, Ah-Counter, etc.), Speech contests, Individual mentoring from experienced members, Hybrid in-person and Zoom attendance
