North Seattle College – Introduction to Public Speaking

A non-credit continuing education course offered by North Seattle College that helps participants reduce stage fright and gain confidence speaking in front of groups. Students learn strategies to manage nervousness, plan and deliver effective presentations, and practice techniques to capture audience attention — all in a supportive environment with feedback from the instructor and fellow participants.

Membership & sessions

One-time course fee of $95 per enrollment (3 sessions). No admission procedure required; open to all adults 18+. No need to be a matriculated student. Payment is due upon registration. Full refund available if cancelled at least 2 business days before the class starts.

Services: Public speaking instruction, Stage fright reduction techniques, Presentation skills training, Instructor and peer feedback, Continuing Education Units (CEUs) available

Membership: 95 USD / yearly

Meeting schedule: Tuesdays, 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm; 3 sessions per course run (e.g. May 5–19, 2026). Courses start throughout the quarter; registration is open on a continuous basis.

Additional information

The Continuing Education office is located in Room CC 1152, ground level, west side of the College Center building. Office hours: Mon–Thu 8:00 am–5:30 pm, Fri 8:00 am–1:00 pm. Courses may be cancelled if enrollment is low (decision made 2 business days before start). CEUs are available to verify attendance hours.
