Tokyo Toastmasters Club

Tokyo Toastmasters Club (Club #1674) is the oldest Toastmasters club in Japan, with nearly 70 years of history. It is an English-language public speaking and leadership development club affiliated with Toastmasters International (District 76). The club holds hybrid meetings every 1st and 3rd Thursday at 19:00 JST at the Tokyo Voluntary Action Center in Iidabashi, with online attendance also available. Membership is open to all with no restrictions. Guests are always welcome to attend for free. The club is highly diverse, with members from a wide range of nationalities, professional backgrounds, and experience levels. Many current and former members have won the District 76 (Japan) International Speech Contest multiple times.

Membership & sessions

Membership is open to all with no restrictions. Guests may attend any number of meetings for free with no obligation. To become a member, Toastmasters International dues are $60 USD semiannually (paid in April and October), plus a one-time new member fee of $25 USD. Individual clubs may also charge additional local club dues. Membership includes access to the Pathways online educational program.

Services: Prepared speeches (Toastmasters Pathways educational program), Table Topics (impromptu speaking practice), Speech evaluations and constructive feedback, Leadership role practice (Toastmaster of the Day, General Evaluator, Timer, Grammarian, etc.), Speech contests (club, area, district levels — e.g., International Speech Contest, Table Topics Cont, Mentoring program, Hybrid meeting participation (in-person and online), Networking with diverse international professionals
